High Blood Cholesterol is one of the Major risk factors for Heart Diseases. High Cholesterol is associated with an elevated risk of Cardiovascular Disease. That can include Coronary Heart Disease, Stroke & Peripheral Vascular Disease. High Cholesterol has also been linked to Diabetes & High Blood Pressure. In fact, the Higher your Blood Cholesterol Level, the greater your risk for developing Heart Disease or Heart Attack.






High Blood Pressure

An increased Blood Pressure can be attributed to greater Blood volume, increased Cardiac Output, or an increased in Higher resistance, as a result of High Blood Pressure, the Heart must work harder to supply blood-flow to the body. Prolonged High Blood Pressure places additional strains on the heart or can weaken Heart Muscles.


Do High Blood Pressure & High Cholesterol go Together?

A. Because High Blood Pressure Puts a strain on your Heart, Brain & Blood Vessels, it can increase the risk of Developing Heart Attack & Strokes in the future. High Cholesterol cause plague in the Arteries in different parts of the body. This makes shortage of blood flow & Nutrient supply to those specific parts. So it is difficult to nourish or repair; thus causing aching pain.  

What is Cholesterol Homeostasis?

A. Human Cholesterol Homeostasis means a stable balanced Fat Metabolism in the body. The body is carrying out many complex interactions to keep a proper normal range of Cholesterol. If there is, any disturbance to homeostasis, will lead to various Bodily High-Cholesterol symptoms.

Patients with High Cholesterol are having poor memory, depression, excessive emotions and/or drop in memory.  Approximately 25% of the total amount of the Cholesterol in the Human is in the Brain. Additionally the Brain contains the more cholesterol than any other organ in your body.

Defect in Cholesterol Metabolism.


A link with Alzheimer's Disease & other Neuro-degenerative conditions.


High level of LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) Cholesterol or low level of HDL (High Density Lipoprotein)  is associated with depression, poor memory & excessive emotions.

Can Blood Pressure Medicine Raise Cholesterol?


Some Blood Pressure medications, triglyceride & Cholesterol levels. High doses (50 mgs or more) of some diuretics.
Diuretics are used to treat high blood pressure and water retention.
There are mainly two types of diuretics that cause increased cholesterol levesl;

  • Thiazide Diuretics (including Hydrochlorothiazide, chlorothiazide, metolazone) &
  • Loop Diuretics (including furosemide, torsemide, bumetanide).

  • High Blood Pressure: 1 in 3 Adults has high blood pressure. 
  • 1 in 3 Adults with high blood pressure does not get treatment.
  • 1 in 2 Adults with high blood pressure does not have it under control. 
  • High Cholesterol: 1 in 3 Adults has high cholesterol.
  • 1 in 2 Adults with high cholesterol does not get treatment. 
  • 2 in 3 Adults who have high cholesterol do not have it under control.
